Gang Green bring in Matt Flynn on one-year deal

Matt Flynn is once again on the move, officially signing with the New York Jets Wednesday.

The deal -- one year, per ESPN's Adam Schefter -- gives Gang Green some added depth at the position following the loss of Geno Smith and gives Flynn a job with his seventh NFL team.

"I'm happy to be here, happy for the opportunity and I'm just trying to get acclimated," Flynn said at his press conference Wednesday, via

Flynn will likely jump right into the No. 2 spot behind Ryan Fitzpatrick, pushing Bryce Petty back into the reserve role.

Flynn has started seven games in his career and appeared in 53 total games.
