Buffalo Bills quarterback Matt Cassel earned the starting role for the team's first preseason game, another step toward being named the Week 1 starter.
If that happens, Buffalo will be the fourth team the 33-year-old has started for, though Cassel feels he's only scratched the surface when it comes to his skill level and future.
"It'll be really exciting because I know I worked tremendously hard to get back to this point. And to also have another opportunity to be on the field, it's always a blessing, and I don't take it for granted."
