Bills RB Brown release among divisional roster moves

The Buffalo Bills had no trouble running the ball against the Indianapolis Colts in their Week 1 victory, and they did it without Bryce Brown.

Tuesday, the team released the 24-year-old ball carrier, a little more than a year after trading a fourth-round pick to acquire him.

Brown, who struggled with ball security at times during his tenure in Buffalo, will be replaced by the returning Marcell Dareus on the team's 53-man roster.

With a strong performance in his first career game, expect Karlos Williams to continue backup duties behind primary back LeSean McCoy, with Anthony Dixon's contributions coming primarily on special teams.

As for some other moves around the division Tuesday:

- Jets waive suspended OT Jay Aboushi

- Dolphins add rookie running back Raheem Mostert

- Patriots waive wide receiver Chris Harper
