Long layoff 'probably' contributed to Albert's hamstring


Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Branden Albert has never dealt with a hamstring injury until now.

Albert missed practice all week due to a hamstring ailment he sustained Sunday, and his status is in question heading into a bout with the Buffalo Bills this weekend.

Albert had a long layoff from the field following a bad right knee injury last season, and he thinks the extended break "probably" has something to do with his current situation.

“I haven’t played in 10 months,” he told the Sun Sentinel. “I’ve been practicing hard, playing hard, things happen. There’s no excuse. I just have to get healthy and help this team out.”
