Skrine 'ready for the challenge' of covering WR Landry

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry has tallied eight more receptions and 12 more targets than any other Miami Dolphin so far this season.

Working primarily out of the slot, that means the team's No. 1 wideout will likely be head-to-head with New York Jets No. 3 corner, Buster Skrine.

Skrine, however, isn't worried about the rankings, or about handling Landry.

"He's a fighter," Skrine said via the Daily News. "I respect his game. He’s real crafty.

"I'm just ready for the challenge. You always like to go against the best receiver."

Skrine, already called a "stud" and "awesome" by his teammates this season, has given slot receivers fits in each of the team's three games this year. Another solid performance could force Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill to look toward to ever-deadly perimeter for completions against Gang Green's coverage, which means choosing between throws toward Darrelle Revis or Antonio Cromartie.
