Roman high on Karlos Williams as a starter vs. Giants

With LeSean McCoy missing yet another day of practice Thursday, the Buffalo Bills coaching staff is preparing for worst when it comes to its running game against the New York Giants on Sunday.

Luckily for them, their Plan B has been Karlos Williams, who's averaged nearly eight yards a carry and already has three touchdowns in a non-starting role through three games.

"I love his attitude, his work ethic, his approach every day, and I love what he brings on the field, obviously," Bills Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman said Thursday via BuffaloBills.com. "I think that’s pretty apparent. The Giants are gonna be a touch challenge and I think Karlos will be up for the challenge."

Williams is currently ranked 14th overall in yardage among running backs, and his ridiculous yards-per-carry tally has him atop that list. That's despite his total number of rushing attempts (24), which is 41st in the league.
