Jets' Stevan Ridley has 'a lot of tread on my tires'

Stevan Ridley just might be what the doctor ordered for the New York Jets.

The power running back, formerly of the New England Patriots, is poised to make his return to the field after sitting out the first seven weeks to an ACL/MCL injury.

Not that Gang Green necessarily needs it, but Ridley will be a shot in the arm to a squad that boasts arguably the NFL's best back in Chris Ivory, who has shown questionable health despite a monster start.

Ridley is ready to contribute.

“I have plenty of time,” Ridley said, via the NY Daily News. “I played four years in New England and everybody knows that’s a pass-first offense. So, I didn’t have a lot of wear and tear and a lot of beating on my body… It’s crazy to think we’re halfway through the season. I haven’t taken a hit yet.

"I think my role on this team is to come in here and bring the juice and bring the passion. I’m fresh. I got a lot of tread left on my tires.”
