Gase grabbed as new head coach for Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have doubled down on their future with quarterback Ryan Tannehill, bringing in Adam Gase as their new head coach.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team's second interview with the former Bears offensive coordinator and "quarterback guru" sealed the deal, making Gase the Dolphins' 12th head coach in the history of the franchise and currently the youngest head coach in the NFL. The deal was later confirmed by the team.

Gase's contract is reportedly for five years, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. Here's what Dolphins owner Stephen Ross had to say about Gase, via Salguero:
"We did exhaustive research on all of the candidates ahead of time and conducted thorough and detailed interviews with each person. In the end, I was convinced and the search committee was unanimous Adam was the right leader for our football team who best met all of our priorities. He has high energy, is competitive and driven to win with a mindset of teaching and developing players."
