Bobby April wasn't good enough in his first year as the New York Jets' special teams coach, and that was enough for the team to give him the boot.
Former Jets special teams coaching legend Mike Westhoff didn't like the move.
“I know him, but it’s not like this is a friend of mine," Westhoff said this week, via ESPN.com. "I’m very disappointed in the fact that happened. Frankly, I’ll tell you exactly how I feel. I think it’s cowardice. And that’s a one-word synonym for the two-word phrase I really think.”
