Dolphins bring in CFL defensive lineman Laing

Cameron Wake now has a fellow former Canadian Football Leaguer on his defensive line.

The Miami Dolphins reportedly signed defensive lineman Cleyon Laing to a three-year deal. The 6-3, 280-pound 25-year-old played collegiate football at Iowa State. He recorded 40 tackles, eight sacks and two forced fumbles last year with the Toronto Argonauts.

Via Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post:
Reports are that he had several other offers, including from the Jets and Patriots, but signing with Miami would give him the opportunity to learn from Wake (who is in discussions about a reworked contract) and Ndamukong Suh.
Laing already has one thing in common with Suh: He’s not always popular with opponents.
