Dolphins lose out on Anderson as Broncos match offer


There are now officially more questions than answers at running back for the Miami Dolphins.

Per Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, the Denver Broncos matched the 'Phins offer sheet for ball carrier C.J. Anderson, putting the team back to square one in their search for Lamar Miller's replacement.

Miami's offer for Anderson was $6 million for 2016 and $18 million total over four years, the fourth-highest salary for a running back for this season.

The Dolphins will now likely look to the draft to fill their need. But as Abramson points out, there are still some options out there:
"Alfred Morris, Arian Foster, LeGarrette Blount, James Starks and Ronnie Hillman, Anderson’s teammate in Denver, are the top free agent running backs remaining."
