Patriots trade Chandler to Cards for OL help, pick

Goodbye, Chandler Jones. Hello, draft options.

Avoiding yet another long-term deal with a still-producing talent, the New England Patriots traded defensive end Chandler Jones to the Arizona Cardinals Tuesday, receiving some offensive line help and another draft pick in the process.

Per WEEI.com, 26-year-old Jonathan Cooper will add some depth to the guard position. The team also adds another second-round selection for their trip to Chicago, giving the Pats four picks in the first three rounds and 11 total despite losing their first-rounder.

Not bad given the prospect pool is chock full of D-line prospects.
