Branch signing adds depth, role player to 'Phins D-line

The Miami Dolphins found their backup for Cameron Wake and/or Mario Williams Wednesday, signing former Jaguar Andre Branch to a one-year deal.

Branch, 26, played in 51 games in four years for Jacksonville but only started a handful of games.

He has 14 career sacks and five forced fumbles.

Per the Miami Herald:
"Branch essentially fills the role held last season by Derrick Shelby, who signed with Atlanta.
The Dolphins also have Terrence Fede, Damontre Moore and CFL project Cleyon Laing at defensive end, and Dion Jordan is eligible for reinstatement next month."
