For Bills tackle Glenn, no news is good news

BY DAN BEGNOCHE

Plenty has been said about the left side of the Bills' offensive line this season. Left tackle Cordy Glenn's name, however, hasn't been part of that conversation — for good reason.

The 24-year-old put together a respectable rookie season last year, starting 13 games while allowing six sacks and nine QB hurries. His efforts earned him the full-time role this year, where he's been a positive on Buffalo's blind side.

As far as coach Doug Marrone is concerned, no news is good news for Glenn.

Sanchez, Jets see 'comfort level' with Edwards

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Braylon Edwards was pretty good in 2010, and so was Mark Sanchez. The two have pretty much stunk since.

Edwards and Sanchez, who connected on 62 passes, eight touchdowns and more than 40 first downs in the New York Jets' 2010 campaign, were reunited this week after an odd sequence of events.

"We have a good chemistry together," Sanchez said Tuesday, via the Star-Ledger. "I’m confident throwing him the ball. I don’t think that will change." (photo: Zolotkey, Flickr)

Edwards has caught just 23 passes over the past two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks, but Sanchez, who is working with an injury-depleted receiving corps, will likely target Edwards early and often in the Jets' three-game season finale run.

Jets expect 'run, run, run, play-action' from Cardinals

BY NICK ST. DENIS

The Arizona Cardinals will be starting sixth-round rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley Sunday when they play visitor to the New York Jets, and the Jets don't expect the Cardinals to leave much to chance. (photo: Football Schedule, Flickr)

“They have a rookie quarterback, so they are going to try to keep the game plan conservative — run, run, run and play-action," Jets linebacker David Harris told Eric Allen of NewYorkJets.com.

If you thought the Jets' offense was anemic, you'll get a major dose of reality when the Cardinals take the field at MetLife Stadium Sunday.

Rex gives opinion on Jets' Pro Bowl selections

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Jets linebacker David Harris didn't make the Pro Bowl, and that apparently didn't sit well with Rex Ryan.

During his Wednesday presser, Ryan made an argument (a pretty good one) for why Harris deserved more than second alternate recognition on the AFC all-star roster.

Jets sending a familiar trio to Hawaii for Pro Bowl

BY NICK ST. DENIS

Darrelle Revis, Nick Mangold and D'Brickashaw Ferguson punched their tickets to Hawaii -- again.

The trio made the Pro Bowl together for the third straight year, and Revis and Mangold will be going for the fourth time in as many seasons.
